Today we finally received our first winter snowfall. We only received maybe 4 or 5 inches before turning to freezing rain, but it was enough to keep the kids home from school. I was upstairs and took a look outside our bedroom window. This is the picture of that view. I put the top half of the window down and let the cold air rush in for a moment. I looked at the pure white beauty covering the trees all around. You can’t hear it here, but there’s the sound of Black Brook’s rushing water filtering up through the trees down below. It’s a pretty picture, a wonderful sound, a nice spot to stop, stare, and listen. Today it’s a snowy hideaway.
