Folks the hockey season is well into mid-season, and one of our favorite nights of the entire year is approaching. The single biggest fundraiser for the Friends of Goffstown Hockey and the hockey program. Please make a note, save the date, and plan on attending on February 10th. Good food. Good friends. Lots of laughs. Good cause. Join us!
We would honestly love to see as many of you there as possible. It’s a great time to see friends and to be around a group of folks who are well aware of what it takes to be a hockey family. We volunteer. We help. We plan. We cheer. We give rides and leave no one behind. We get up early. We drive the miles and the hours. We do it for the kids. Where do you think our kids learn behaviors such as teamwork, work ethic, and giving of one’s self? Through our lead. This is just another event along a long line of plans, events, and framework set up to help the program.
We do have raffle items trickling in: Monarchs tickets, Fisher Cats tickets, an autographed baseball from the Red Sox, a copy of an autographed poster from the Bruins, and more. Check out more information below.
Tickets are On Sale for our Annual Comedy Night to be held Saturday, February 10th at the Alpine Club in Manchester. Tickets are $45 each which includes: Dinner Catered by Lemay’s Steak Out, 1 free chance to win the Door Prize ($100 value), and a Night of Comedy. Please keep in mind that this is an 18+ event and there is also a small bar on site as well. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., Dinner is served promptly at 7:00 p.m., and the Comedians begin at 8:00 p.m. sharp. We have 3 new comedians this year and they are all excited to come out and make us laugh.
Tickets are being sold at Home Games or by seeing/contacting Kathy Lajeunesse. No tickets will be handed out without the money being collected first. The Board is asking each player to sell a minimum of 4 tickets this year. There are only 150 tickets being sold and they will move quickly so please don’t delay. If anyone is looking for a poster for the event to hang here in town or display at work etc., please get in touch with Kathy Lajeunesse (cell 566-1522).
Normally we have 20+ Raffle Items that are either donated by area businesses or families of our program. Here is where we really need the help of our Goffstown Hockey Families. Items such as gift cards for anything from dinner to facials, tickets to sporting events, autographed sports memorabilia, clothing items, hand-made items, gift baskets, or jewelry, etc. would be great. We are asking the players and their families to assist us this year in reaching our goal of 25 Raffle items. Raffle items are due by Wednesday, 2/7 (Keene game) and can be handed off to any available board member in attendance at games.
Comedy Night is our LARGEST FUNDRAISER OF THE SEASON so we hope that we can count on you! Everyone that comes through the door gets a ticket for the door prize and then we sell raffle tickets at $5 for 10 tickets. We make a large amount of money from our raffle items which is so important to our hockey program. Any help spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.
