In the depths of darkness in the silence of the night, you know exactly what you do. Yet the sobbing mass we see is only there to tug on the heartstrings of those invested in you.
Forces headed in opposite directions make short work tearing everything apart. Prey only exists if the predator pursues, in the absence of light just another broken heart.
In the light of the day, shaking like a skulking fiend, your head hangs low. Eyes too heavy to lift, with a heart as cold as ice, sorrow reaped from the seeds that you sow.
Warm embraces and words draped in love so deeply heartfelt. Are rejected, violated, and abused while the one prays for truth in the place where they knelt.
In your wake no one is safe, all suspended in the chasm created by deceit. It’s all too familiar for some, another scenario played out and likely to repeat.
In the end, your selfish trail leaves everyone behind, even sacred vows are hollow. Looking out for self, seeking blame instead of the truth, nothing but pain will follow.
Far away there are prayers hurled heaven bound begging for the truth, see. Sooner or later, the burden will multiply and burst from the depths setting all the rest free.
Jackie St Hilaire says
Prayer 🙏 needs action.
We can pray, we can long for love, we are calling out for discernment but when all is said and done we must take action.
Nothing will change without stepping forward.
