First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Personally, I love the season, but love the reason even more. Secondly, our hockey team and hockey family were back at the rink the day after Christmas for a game in Concord, NH.
The 2010 Flames traveled to Concord to play the Capitals in Granite State League action. It was a pretty decent game with Concord leading the way in energy, effort, and execution, in a 4-0 win. Concord has good players on top of a structured approach with plenty of layers on defense.
If there were a message or two that the Flames team might take away from the game, I would say:
- Move the puck via passing and getting the puck to open spaces quickly.
- Get pucks deep instead of trying to be too nifty with the puck at center ice or the offensive blue line.
Regardless of those things, the Christmas jerseys looked pretty cool. Here are some pictures from the game yesterday. Have a look and enjoy!
