Yesterday afternoon the Flames hosted the Cyclones at the West Side Arena where we, very thankfully, can still play hockey games, and actually watch them in person. As it usually is, the game was tight and intensely contested.
The Flames pulled out a 2-1 win despite being down a forward and their starting goalie. The Cyclones scored to take an early 1-0 lead and held the lead after one period and through most of the second. The Flames got a shorthanded goal in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. There were a lot of penalties and a lot of whistles in this game, but everything was highly contested. The Flames scored a power play goal that deflected off of a Cyclone’s defenseman in the final period and held on for the 2-1 win.
Please take a few moments to enjoy some pictures from the game. As you might notice, I never have a plan on who to take pictures of, or when to take them, but I try to catch players making plays. Thank you for your time.
