We know that the 2010 Flames will enter the post-season tournament as the #5 seed, finishing 7-5-2 in their tier. With league games finished, the Flames played a pair of games over the weekend to get ready for the trip to North Conway this Friday.
The Flames played the NE Edge on Saturday in a 5-0 win over at JFK in Manchester. Then on Sunday they played the Seacoast Spartans at West Side Arena. The Flames lost 4-1 to a tough defensive team but it was a great level of competition to get ready to play in the playoffs. After being off for 10 days of quarantine the weekend marked the return to the ice for the team. So this week of ice time will go a long way toward getting back on track to play up north.
It appears that the Flames will open the tournament at 6:30pm on Friday night against Rochester and then play at 9:30am against Keene on Saturday morning. The Flames went 0-2-2 against these two clubs in the regular season.
