It was a late October day up in the northwest corner of New York. The temperature just barely climbed past 50F and the clouds were winning the battle for sky supremacy. As it turned out, it was a perfect backdrop for a day that I hope none of us soon forget.
The 2010 Flames, out in Niagara Falls to play hockey in the 49th Annual Niagara Showdown, with many siblings, and family members in tow, hit the Maid of the Mist on Friday afternoon. I think that I can speak for the group in saying that we had, “an absolute blast!”
I am sharing some pictures that I took from the visit to the Falls. There are many other tremendous shots out there from members of our party, and they all show the joy, the awe, and the power of the moment. Some pictures even capture that ‘I feel tiny’ feeling that you get when in the presence of monstrous power and beauty.
Often, I find myself, one in awesome wonder. Enjoy.
