With Christmas and now New Year’s Eve behind us, we all returned to Tri-Town Arena in a brand new year for the last game of pool play in the 2021 Winter Classic. The 2010 Flames played the Central Maine Hornets in an evening match up.
The Flames got their engines fully roaring by the second period an skated away with a 7-1 victory. Manchester scored two goals in the first period, before adding four more in the second period to put the game out of reach. It was exciting to see the Flames continue to gel, and to get contributions from every player on the ice.
I apologize for not getting into the detail that I usually do, but these games are piling up in a hurry. As it turns out, I have covered no less than 10 games since the day after Christmas between high school and youth hockey, and I barely know which end is up. Regardless of my coverage this 2010 Flames team has been playing some real good hockey.
