Well, the regular season came to an end over the weekend, with the 2010 Flames playing a pair of make-up games at home, and another one down in Bridgewater, Mass. The Flames dug deep and won all three games. They played with great energy and effort to sweep the final weekend before tournament play.
On Saturday morning, the Flames handed the Boston Jr. Terriers a 4-1 loss over at JFK. After a long 90-mile jaunt south on Sunday, the Flames heated up enough to wrestle a 5-2 win from the Bandits. Then finally, after a really long day, the 2010 Flames played host to the Hanover Wild in GSL action. The winner of this game would take the #2 seed into the playoffs, behind undefeated Plymouth. The Flames earned a 2-1 victory, and finished at 10-3-1 to take the #2 seed.
Playoffs for the GSL (Granite State League) and The Fed (EHF Lower Gold) are being played this weekend. The GSL will be played up in Wolfeboro, NH while the first weekend of The Fed playoffs will be in Manchester, NH. The Flames finished 22-7-1 in the EHF Lower Gold 2010 Pee Wee Minor Division on one of The Fed pages. Then on the “Unofficial Standings Page” the Flames finished 20-4-2. “The Final EHF Standings and Playoff match-ups will be published by 10 am on Wednesday 3/2/22”.
All I know is this, that past performance does guarantee future results. If the Flames show up and play like a team, with good energy, and brisk effort from start to finish, they can play with anyone in their division. It’s a new season really, nothing before now matters much, except for the plan and the process.
On a good note, I did work on this late enough to see the Bruins wallop the Kings, 7-0. I’m tired and I will save words for the pictures. I may save some words for the recorded messages this week; to my favorite team. Enjoy!
