NHIAA Hockey Tournament Brackets Final Four 2022

Well folks, the time has come for some high school playoff hockey here in New Hampshire. There are three divisions in NH high school boys hockey and all three brackets are shown below. There is one division in NH high school girls hockey and that bracket is here too. Please check back to the school’s websites to make sure of times, bus departure times, and any other details that may be necessary.

The hockey tournaments are down to their respective final four brackets. For the most part, the favored seeds won and advanced. The three Boy’s hockey brackets played true to the seeds except for #5 Somersworth-Coe-Brown (SCB) upsetting #4 Dover in OT, ensuring a new hockey champion in D2. #1 St. Thomas awaits SCB, while Oyster River will play Portsmouth-Newmarket. Portsmouth-Newmarket scored the game-winning goal with 25.9 seconds left in OT to beat #6 Goffstown and advance to their first final four in almost 20 years.

In Boy’s D1 action, #1 Concord, #2 Bedford, #3 Exeter, and #4 Hanover all advanced to the final four. Exeter had all they could handle in their 4-3 win, while Bedford fell behind 2-0 and then scored the next five goals to advance to the final four. Over in D3, #1 Berlin-Gorham, #2 Hollis-Brookline-Derryfield, #3 Belmont-Gilford, and #4 Lebanon-Stevens-Mount Royal all won and advanced.

In Girl’s action, it’s a bit more complicated. The #9 Pinkerton Astros upset #8 Lebanon-Stevens-Kearsarge in the prelims, and then they upset #1 Oyster River-Portsmouth, 4-3 in OT in the Quarterfinals. Sitting in the other side of their bracket is #5 St. Thomas-Winnacunnet-Dover who knocked off #4 Concord in the Quarterfinals. The other Semifinal will feature #2 Bishop Guertin vs. #3 Hanover.

D1 Boys play their Semifinal games at JFK Coliseum in Manchester on Wednesday, March 9th. #1 Concord vs. #4 Hanover at 5:30pm, and #2 Bedford vs. #3 Exeter at 7:30pm.

D2 Boys play their Semifinal games at Everett Arena in Concord on Wednesday, March 9th. #1 St. Thomas vs. #5 Somersworth-Coe Brown at 5:30pm. #2 Oyster River vs. #3 Portsmouth-Newmarket at 7:30pm.

D3 Boys play their Semifinal games at Plymouth State University Ice Arena in Plymouth on Wednesday, March 9th. #1 Berlin-Gorham vs. #4 Lebanon-Stevens-Mount Royal at 5:30pm. #2 Hollis Brookline-Derryfield vs. #3 Belmont-Gilford at 7:30pm.

D1 Girls play their Semifinal games at Everett Arena in Concord on Tuesday, March 8th. #9 Pinkerton vs. #5 St. Thomas-Winnacunnet-Dover at 5:30pm. #2 Bishop Guertin vs. #3 Hanover at 7:30pm.
