The water remaining in what’s left of our backyard rink is a direct result of melting ice. It’s cold! Regardless of that fact, our youngest daughter was warm from being outside, riding her bike, and generally playing.
It was a nice, sunny, pre-spring day with the temperature nearly at 60F. Our daughter was enticed by the shallow pool of water, as she was looking for a way to cool off. She did cool off alright. She took to the water… for about 30 seconds. After the quick soaking of her feet and ankles, she threw her socks off and spent some time on the home made swing set right near the rink area. Her feet dried and warmed quickly, and all ended well.
