I hope these little inserts reach many people from week to week, and more importantly, help to effect lives in a positive way. Have a look and a listen. Spend some time on yourself. Nothing but truth here. You are worth it. Share it. Pay it forward.
While many ask why God allows so much pain and suffering in the world, there are billions of us here created in His image. Each possessing free will. Free will to believe or not to believe. Free will to sin, or not too. Free will to try and live in accordance with God’s plan, or free will to live any way you please. Free will can lead to a wonderful fulfilling life or to a life that causes pain to others. In either case God sent His own Son to live, die, rise again, and live today while paying the price for the sin of the world. And, flawed as we are, we can still be rescued from our sins, and be rescued from the hardest places we may ever find ourselves.
Moses and the Israelites find themselves in a desperate situation, they have their back against the Red Sea as seen in the book of Exodus. With the Egyptian army on their trail, they have nowhere to go. They are trapped. Then Moses led them by following the three steps outlined below.
1. Trust God Wherever He Leads
2. Obey God Whenever He Speaks
3. Glorify God Whatever He Does
“….If God leads you to a wall, it is His job to bring the wall down. If
God leads you to a door, it is His job to open it. If God leads you to
a sea, it is His job to part it. However, there is another side to the
coin. Everything that God does for us is not just for His glory; it is
by His grace…”
“…The Exodus is a perfect picture of what Jesus Christ has done for us. So what do you mean? Well, let’s go back. We were trapped in a dead end called sin, we were pursued by an enemy called death. God takes a staff in the shape of a cross, and he parts this Red Sea of sin. He puts death to death and leads us to a promised land where we will live with him forever and forever, and that’s why you can know, I don’t care how deep, how dark, how desperate your Red Sea moment is, because of the glory of God, and because of the grace of God, and because of the cross of Jesus and that empty tomb, we will make it safely to the other side…”
We believe third and fourth person accounts of things that aren’t competely true all the time. We race to and from people based on perceptions that are sometimes not even close to accurate in the first place. Perhaps, we could take a little more time to embrace our God, the One that sent his own Son to save us from ourselves. He is steady. He is engaged. He is very much interested in our lives for all of the right reasons. Why shouldn’t we check Him out? Talk about a steady friend to have. If you watch the video link below, watch until the closing prayer. Any day could be a life changing day. Why not today?
We race around and spend so much time keeping up with the schedule that we created. Often times, we let outside forces dictate our time to the point that it affects our mindset and the decisions we make. So, today, this week at least, sit down and take some time to get yourself into a better space. I am pretty sure that this would help. Check it out. Anyways, if you can binge watch action, drama and other’s heartache that leaves you no better than when you started, so try this out. It will challenge you. This is great! Enjoy.
