It was Thursday night, the final night of ‘Skills Week’. This was the first week back on the ice for the Flames players. The event was set up as a kick off to the 2022-2023 hockey season.
Players start practices with their respective teams next week, and games start next weekend. But Thursday night was about the families of the players. It looked as though everyone had a great time at the Flames Welcome Back BBQ. Players, parents, siblings, families, and coaches were all in attendance at West Side Arena. There was food, drink, games, and other fun things to do. Music was playing through the grounds and it was a lot of fun. The dunk tank and bounce house were clearly the most popular stops.
Enjoy a few pictures to better understand the lay of the land.

- Ahhh, the dunk tank. Lots of smiles and laughter as kids bought chances to dunk their coaches in the dunk tank. There was some good natured trash talking from the coaches so the kids responded by dunking them in the tank. Over and over again, as witnessed by many, as well a steady stream of water running across the parking lot. © 2022 1inawesomewonder
