Woods Haiku
In the woods I walked.
Conversation I did have.
Though nobody talked.

On this afternoon, the wind was whipping through the trees. Then silence would fall over the scene like someone hit pause. But a tumbling leaf crashed through the hemlocks and pines, and the silence was broken by death falling to earth, to start the cycle again.
