2010 Flames Get Shutout Win at Kearsarge

The Flames started the new year with two road games on Saturday, to be followed by two more road games on Sunday. Manchester made their way to Proctor Academy on a rainy, foggy, winter morning to play a game against Kearsarge. The Flames got out of town with a 5-0 win and were on their way to Hudson for an afternoon battle to a tie.

2010 Flames Rally Late To Tie Rochester, 3-3

Once again it was an early morning start for the Flames on a weekend smack dab in the middle of a holiday week. The 2010 Flames and their hockey family headed for Canton, MA while it was still dark this morning. Only to find that they arrived before anyone had opened up the rink.

Today was a gorgeous sunny day near 50 degrees in the city. The first game of the day at the third day of the Brian C. Stone Memorial Christmas Hockey Tournament was Goffstown vs. Hanover. The crowd was smaller but the rink was bright and the festive sense of the holidays was evident.

2010 Flames Hold Off The Concord Capitals, 7-4

After an early trip to Dedham, Mass. earlier this morning for a 10-2 drubbing at the hands of the Boch Blazers, the Flames returned home for an afternoon clash with the Concord Capitals. The 2010 Flames played well from start to finish to win the afternoon game.

It was another fun night at the rink, the JFK Coliseum rink. I do enjoy seeing the families in attendance as kids come home from school and come home for Christmas. It’s really a fun place to be. I still have fun, even when a game goes the way that it went tonight. I will get to the game shortly.

Brian C. Stone Memorial Christmas Hockey Tournament: Goffstown 1 @ Trinity 5

From J.F.K. Coliseum in Manchester, NH: Goffstown 1 at Trinity 5.

I always enjoy attending the Brian C. Stone Memorial Christmas Hockey Tournament at JFK Coliseum in Manchester, NH. It’s good high school hockey during a festive time of the year with families in attendance and crowds coming and going all day. Tonight was another fun trip to the rink amid a holiday atmosphere and the excitement of opening night. However, for the Grizzlies faithful, Goffstown fell short in their first tournament game, 5-1 to a very deep Trinity team.

Hockey: Goffstown 4 vs. Merrimack 3

From Thomas F. Sullivan Arena on the campus of St. Anselm College – December 18, 2019

On Wednesday night the Goffstown Grizzlies played their rival from a rink down the street for the fourth time in a year. Merrimack took two out of three from Goffstown last season. Yes, those pesky, talented Merrimack Tomahawks skated in for a visit to the Grizzlies Den.
