Goffstown Grizzlies Baseball dropped a pair of games to begin their week. At Exeter, on Wednesday the Grizzlies were shut out 3-0 against the Blue Hawks. Then, at Allard Park against Winnacunnet, Goffstown fell 4-3 in a battle on Thursday.Goffstown Baseball Falls Short

The Manchester Flames 18U team traveled to San Jose, California to participate in the 2019 CHIPOTLE USA HOCKEY YOUTH TIER II 18U National Championships. Although the team ended up going 0-3, they had a chance to compete in the highest round of competition their level offered. They played teams from Texas, Washington, and North Carolina. I have been writing this piece for a few weeks now and it dawned on me recently that my once-rapid pace of putting words to this place had slowed to a mere trickle or re-reading of words already written. I quickly understood why. It’s because somewhere beyond reality I held hope of another game, another picture, another story, another chance to write about this group. Why must it end this way? Why must it end at all?
This write up isn’t the same. No, this one is different. This game wasn’t the same as all the rest. And from my seat at the Rinks of Exeter, maybe my glasses were slightly rose-tinted. Yesterday’s Senior All-Star Classic was fun. It was some pretty good hockey with most kids playing on lines and combinations of players that were completely new to them.
