On Saturday night Goffstown traveled to Exeter to play their first road game of the season against an always feisty squad of Warriors from Winnacunnet High School in Hampton. Over the course of the game the Grizzlies were able to impose their offensive will enough to win a 7-3 decision and improve to 3-0 on the young season.

On Wednesday night the Goffstown Grizzlies played their rival from a rink down the street for the fourth time in a year. Merrimack took two out of three from Goffstown last season. On Monday night the Goffstown Grizzlies played their seemingly annual season opener against the Oyster River Bobcats. Oyster River was ranked #7 in the D2 Pre-season rankings, while Goffstown didn’t crack the top 8. This season it was Goffstown’s turn to play the first game at home. These two teams will meet again on the big ice at the Whittemore Center on February 22nd. With this opponent, the Grizzlies and just about everyone else knows that Oyster River is well coached, structurally sound, and they just never seem to go away. Last night lived up to what you might expect in a game between these two teams.
The Flames hosted the Islanders Hockey Club at JFK Coliseum on Saturday morning in a repeat match up from last weekend. Manchester was able to get their offensive game going and skate away with an 8-2 victory. 2010 Flames Top the Islanders at JFK
