Bruins Warrior
I have written on this subject before and it means a great deal to me personally, it is team. This blog I wrote (The Team) a while back probably doesn't do it justice, but last night was another example of why team is so important, and when a group 'gets it', you can't miss it. Warrior means, brave or experienced fighter or soldier. Last night, in the second period of the Bruins - Penguins game, Continue Reading...
On My Mind
I just glanced at Facebook, and at the moment Facebook seemed to be concerned with "What's on my mind?" That's a good question, because, right now, I am thinking of my Uncle Lloyd. Wishing I could be walking somewhere beside him, just talking and sharing, but mostly I would just listen. Instead, I am miles away, thinking and praying. I just want to help. My thoughts and my prayers will continue Continue Reading...
Playing like nobody is watching
I love when the twins just get caught up in the things that they are doing. Theodore grabbed the wizard hat for no reason other than to wear it while he played. Jacqueline donned her Princess Ariel dress in order to play and to read her Disney story book. They did these things on their own. I just watched and watched, they had no idea I was even there. I guess there are a couple Continue Reading...
Destination Homestead
Destination Homestead The highways weren't what they are now. The drive times were longer and the family car was crowded. The days were most definitely simpler then. There weren't electronic games to play, options for isolating ourselves within the car, but games we played involving us all. I knew the make and model of almost every vehicle we saw along the way, we all did. I sat behind my dad Continue Reading...
Goffstown In Baseball
Goffstown, NH was incorporated in 1761. Goffstown ranks as just the 14th largest municipality in the state of New Hampshire. The 2010 Census put Goffstown's population at 17,651. Roughly 15% of the population is between age 18 and age 24, or approximately 2,648 people. I am going to point out some more details from this age group a little later on in this piece. There are roughly 4,000 folks in Continue Reading...
