This past Saturday we went to a friend's house in Bow, NH to get our Christmas Tree. We got the tree in exchange for some help with other trees and the promise of some future help with work around her property. This truly is a Griswold-esque tree. It measured 12 feet tall, had a bird’s nest in it, has it’s own pine cones, and was at least 7 feet across the base branches. Naturally, that is the Continue Reading...
Performance within a Performance
There’s a certain part of me that I hope never goes away. As a matter of fact, I wish it would continue to grow so that I may more effectively share it with others for the remainder of my days. I am talking about the feeling of Christmas morning, the appreciation of the season, the reason for Christmas, and my love for the old Christmas carols. Yes, even in my 40’s I still get excited about Continue Reading...

Merry Christmas to our military personnel and their families
Merry Christmas! Thank you for all you have done, for all you do, for all you will do. Maybe you have seen this video, maybe you haven't. I have attached this touching tribute to our military and their families. Every parent should be so lucky to be greeted as seen throughout this video. Be the best version of you, be the person worthy of the hugs seen in the video. I wish all our personnel a Continue Reading...
December 23: Flames 3 @ Hanover 2
Sunday the Flames traveled to Hanover, NH for a Granite State League game. The match up proved to be even and exciting. In the end, the Flames played their best when it counted most, earning a 3-2 win with a goal in the final minute of play. Here we go: 1st Period: Sam Hebert scored the only goal of the 1st period when Ashlie Killen stopped a Hanover rush, took the puck, and made a pass to Sam. Continue Reading...
Sunday Series – Above the noise
This is just a short poem I wrote. It's inspired by some recent conversations that I have been apart of and also by the song by Casting Crowns. It's simple I suppose. But it means a lot to me; even deeper than I am able to convey. I hope you can read between the lines and understand where this is coming from. Merry Christmas from above the noise. Above the noise This is about the season and the Continue Reading...
Thanks #27 (Christmas Season)
I am thankful for the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Christmas season. I enjoy the moments that allow for time when I can sneak mentally away to a slower time and pace of Christmas memories past. I'm sure I had more down time then than I do now, and I'm sure I probably complained to my parents at the time that I was bored. I certainly wish I had that time now, and I know I wouldn't Continue Reading...
Thinking of our military this Christmas
Just about any time I think about our military personnel, past and present, when I really think of all they do, all they sacrifice, I cry. I am especially emotional on this subject at Christmas time. At no time of the year is there more of an urgency, a search for togetherness, to be with family than at Christmas time. I offer this Christmas tribute. This is not mine, I am just sharing this that I Continue Reading...
Sunday Series – Christmas Edition – Silent Night
Silent Night. The most famous Christmas song of all-time. The lyrics of this song started as a poem written in the early 19th century by an Austrian priest. At the time the little village on the Salzach River was split with half going to Bavaria and half going to Austria in the same year the poem was written. Today the village on the border of Germany and Austria has around 5,500 residents nestled Continue Reading...
‘Tis the Season … to observe and share
Over the last week or two I have observed some interesting things involving people all around me. Keep in mind, it's Christmas time, and people are supposed to be at their best, right? I know many people think of yellow traffic lights as an opportunity to maintain, or slightly increase, speed in order to continue their travel without having another stop added to the route. I have been guilty here Continue Reading...
