More Than A View

I think a lot of people would be better served if they could sit here for a week, or even two. The isolation, creation so perfect, in thought and silence, would  be better than we…

Sun in the Corner

The sun was setting on the distant horizon, with splendor that captured everyone’s eyes.  But I noticed what it shone on, and noticing it’s beauty was truly my prize.

Den Rock Walk

Den Rock Walk – Den Rock Park Hidden in the midst of population, business, and all of the bustle, I found this old Native American land called Den Rock Park. I guess when you think…

This tree dazzled all that passed by, with its’ brilliance in color and personality.

But I paid attention when it beckoned, and I listened to what it had to say to me.

It may be best to watch this video in full-screen, high-definition. Recently I took my Mom, my Aunt, and my Uncle on a foliage trip. We traveled all over the Mt. Kearsarge region of New…

The Property (Ours and Flowers)

We are so busy in our lives. There’s time, but too rare is it that time, we make. Mostly, it is the allowances that we welcome, our time it does take. So, slow down, take ten minutes or so, and go where this takes you. It’s safe I assure you, and visit as often as you would like to.

Hartland, New Brunswick, July 2016 – We had a blast taking the footage. We talked. We laughed. And every once in a while, we just stopped everything in order to exclaim, Wow! Ahhh! Incredible! OOOOHHHHH!…

Lightning Pics from Hartland, NB

These are still pictures taken from video. These pictures were taken in, and around, Hartland, New Brunswick, Canada. July 2016. My cousin, his girlfriend, and I, spent a couple of hours venturing out in to the warm evening along the banks of the St. John River to watch the storm.

Hammock Hike

Last week I picked a day when it was rainy, windy, and only 45Β°F outside to take a little hike. I wanted to see how I would do with making myself a little tarp shelter…

Winter Workout

The other day I was out in the Kuncanowet Forest again. I can’t seem to get enough of those trails through the woods. It’s beautiful country for sure. Despite the incredibly warm weather we have…

Lost Lake Loop

I started this post back in October (2015) and I have posted several pictures from this trail in a slide show, but I wanted to single out some of those photos even more, so I…

At Peace in the Forest

I walked in the woods. I walked on crusted snow. There were no other foot steps. There was no trail. I followed some animal tracks, but mostly just the lay of the land. The crusted snow was slick in spots but I thought of how much more difficult this walk would be in the summer months of growth.

Piscataquog Prize

Back in the first week of November I took a stroll off of the beaten path along the Piscataquog River in Goffstown. I thoroughly enjoyed this walk/hike on a beautiful fall day. As always, I wish I could walked this area some 200-300 years ago to see it as it was then. I think I’d like to canoe through these parts the next time I pass by this section of river.
