Saturday saw the return of the NH Avalanche 2000 team to the ice in-game action at the Ice Den versus the, steep in hockey history, program from Assabet Valley (Concord, MA). I will do my best to recap the game here. The first period ended scoreless. The period started slowly, choppy, unorganized, and rather sloppy if you ask me. Av's goaltender Gavin Cram made several huge saves in the opening Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche 2000 @ Raynham
Coming in to the weekend the NH Avalanche 2000's had been playing pretty well and started to create more offense for themselves. Offensive zone puck possession, scoring chances, shots, and forced turnovers from the forecheck all looked to be getting better and resulted in more pucks finding the back of the opposing net. Then the Avs knew they'd be traveling to Raynham with only 8 skaters and a Continue Reading...

Kearsarge November 24-30
Press Release: December 2, 2013 November 30: Kearsarge 0 @ Oyster River 4 With this past Sunday off, the Kearsarge Bantams only played one game last week. It was a road game out in Durham, played on Churchill Rink at Jackson Landing. After I dropped my son and his equipment off outside the rink and the pavilion I figured I had some time to kill. So I drove a few feet further, down the hill Continue Reading...
January 7: @ Flames 4 vs. NH Avalanche II 3
Special thanks to Amaris, Mel, and Alan for getting information to me in compiling this summary. I appreciate it very much and I am sorry I missed such a great game, as I had a previous baseball commitment on Monday night. Thank you. The Flames Pee Wee Major team had so much fun playing hockey over the weekend that they kept right on playing into the school week. Monday night the Flames played Continue Reading...
December 30: @ Flames 2 vs. NH East 1
Sunday afternoon the Flames returned to home ice, hosting the 1st place (GSL) NH East Eagles. This NH East club has proven over the years to be well coached and very stingy on the defensive end of the ice. In early November they shut out the Flames 3-0, allowing just 12 shots in the game. In GSL play, the Eagles had allowed just 14 goals in 10 games played. And so it was entering play on Sunday. Continue Reading...
December 15: Flames 3 @ 495 Stars White 2
In the second of two games on Saturday the 15th, the Flames battled through and around heavy traffic in the vicinity of the Pheasant Lane Mall which was packed and overflowing with Christmas shoppers. Then, for the second time on Saturday, the Flames put up a good effort, and this time, left Tyngsboro with a 3-2 win. The win improved the Flames record to 10-5 in Mass Select play, tying them with Continue Reading...
December 9: @ Flames 3 vs. Keene 1
The Pee Wee Major Flames had a chance to rebound from a loss yesterday with a home game this afternoon. The Flames hosted a Granite State League game vs. Keene (0-4-1), looking to even their record in GSL play. The Flames came in to the game with a 4-5-1 record in the GSL overall, but have gone 3-0-1 in their last four league games. The Flames did rebound well, they earned a 3-1 victory versus a Continue Reading...
