It has been brought to my attention recently that I am not a parent. Not a good parent, or a bad parent, just that I have not been counted as a parent at all. Continue Reading...
Daily Prompt: Treasure My Mom
via Daily Prompt: Treasure I treasure my Mom. Treasure: as a verb is defined simply as to "keep carefully". A synonym listed for treasure is the word "cherish". Cherish: takes things a little further, "protect and care for (someone) lovingly". Today is my Mother's birthday. I cannot express in mere words how much she means to me, and how much I love her. The Twins Go To School
Today was another day to remember. The twins, at three-and-a-half years old, went to their first day of school. Well, pre-pre-school, as I call it. Either way, there were pictures, good-byes, anticipations, uncertainties, and excitement. I may never get it right, but I know that these kids are fantastic, and their Continue Reading...

Parenting in the dark. My privilege.
Sometimes I wish I knew how many times my mom and dad had to change their plans, get up in the night, or get up earlier than they wanted to, on account of me in my first 2-3 years. Then again, I am sure I was like any other baby or toddler and I did my share of making things difficult for my parents. I guess our formative years are in many ways as much a learning curve for the parents as they are Continue Reading...
