Sports

This website is full of Sports. More than that, there is inspiration, even life lessons, and maybe even some Biblical truth sprinkled throughout there posts.

Wild Card Baseball

Well the two Wild Card games have been played. Both were exciting. Both were decided by final inning, 3-run homers, one being of the walk-off variety. Madison Bumgarner continued to be a post season immortal.…

A Month and the Sox

April 14, 2016 – My Dad was taken home by his Lord and Saviour. There are bunches of my words and stories that you can read if you so wish, regarding my Dad’s death found in the following links.

Dad.

The Man is Gone.

A Dad and This Boy

I miss him.

May 14, 2016 – We took the twins and their older brothers to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play. It is the 6-year-old twins’ first trip to the old ballpark in Boston.

Flames 16U Take Bronze at Nationals

Only one team every year gets to end their season and post-season with a win in any given level of play. That’s very difficult to achieve, and people lose sight of the teams (everyone else) that doesn’t win their final game of the season, or even qualify for post-season play.

Grizzlies Hockey ~ It’s Quarter-Final Time!

Obviously, no team is any hotter than the white-hot Tomahawks. Then again, they haven’t played a meaningful game since Feb. 25th. By tomorrow, that will be 16 days since they last played. The Grizzlies are now 6-2-1 in their last 9 outings and have started to generate some momentum themselves. Anything can happen as we all know, and tomorrow we will find out if any of these numbers mean a thing.

GHS Hockey: Goffstown 2 vs. Lebanon 1 (OT)

Prior to the overtime winner scored by Greenwood, there was one name on my tongue, as it related to the one who stole the show; that name is Colin Holt. Senior, Goaltender, Colin Holt, he wears uniform #1 and tonight, he was the #1 defender. Were it not for Holt’s heroics in net, the Grizzlies could have been down 4 or 5 goals after the first period alone.

Grizzlies Hockey ~ It’s Tournament Time!

It wasn’t too long ago, when the Goffstown Grizzlies Ice Hockey team found themselves mired in mediocrity. They were hovering at .500 with a 5-5 record, and were in the bottom half of the standings. It was the end of January and they were looking up at most of the division, with games against perennial powerhouses, Dover and Spaulding staring them in the face.

GHS Hockey: Goffstown 2 vs. Bow 4

After all was said and done, the Bow Falcons improved to 10-1-1 on the season. Goffstown dropped to 5-5. According to records, streaks, common opponents, etc. Bow was supposed to win this game. Ultimately the young, talented team from Bow did win, but this was a battle from the opening faceoff.

GHS Hockey: Goffstown 1 @ Oyster River 2

The play told a too familiar story for Grizzlie fans though, as either of two Goffstown defensemen could have raced behind the net and been the first player to the loose puck, but instead, neither one went, and Oyster River centered the puck to the slot and scored, or didn’t score, officially.
