Twin Adventures
Pre-Work Work
The twins and I got outside this morning for a little yard work. There’s a lot of snow here and the ground is still very much frozen, but we collected enough sticks, fallen branches, twigs,…
Pleasures in Life
I am a fortunate man. God has blessed my family and I many times over. I am both humbled and thankful for all of the blessings that have come my way. One pleasure in life…
Snow Removal, or at least Relocated
So, while everyone else seemed to be outside moving snow around, especially off of their roofs (modern English), over the weekend, I was busy with other things. Then today, with the wind whipping, hard and cold out of the northwest, I decided to get up on my roof. I ended up being on the rooftop, or at least on the top of the highest roof I could actually get to, for more than two hours.
In Good Hands
We have experienced our share of sickness this winter season, but we are in good hands. See, we have a pair of doctors living among us…
Dad, Turn Up The Heat
I wondered from the other room, why was the TV turned up so loud. I walked into the family room and this is what I saw… Maybe I just need to turn up the heat.
Double
Photography 101. I had to go with an older photo of our, now 4-year-old, twins. There’s no double that I love more than this double. The twins at one month old.
Deer Driveway
While looking at a deer that was grazing alongside our driveway this morning, Jacqueline asked me how old I thought the deer was.Β I said, “Oh it’s probably two years old.” She yelped loudly, “TWO YEARS…
Today’s Cure: Healthy Imagination
After a relatively sleepless night dealing with coughs, colds, fevers, and a case of croup, the twins and I are settled in for the day. We received 3 or 4 inches of wet snow overnight.…
Lunch Time!
As far as I know, this reaction was not planned. The twins were playing, then they heard the toaster ‘pop’, and Theodore quietly asked, “It’s lunch time?” I said, “Yes, it’s lunch time.” Instantly both…
The bottom of the snow man
Okay this is one of the cutest things I’ve heard in a long time. After pointing out numerous icons, pictures, and various graphics on a map of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we came to a picture…
Thankful on a Snowy Monday
I am a fortunate man in more ways than I could ever count. One such blessing I am thankful for, among many, are Mondayβs at home with the twins. I could not have these moments…

Potholes and Puddles
Once in a while, quite often actually, I think it’s good to just let kids be kids, regardless of my personal feelings on cleanliness, order, and things along those lines. Yes, we have a huge…
The Twins Go To School
Today was another day to remember. The twins, at three-and-a-half years old, went to their first day of school. Well, pre-pre-school, as I call it. Either way, there were pictures, good-byes, anticipations, uncertainties, and excitement.…
I like my hot dogs well done
I asked Theodore if he had slipped into the kitchen and eaten one of the hot dogs from my plate. He answered with a question, “Daddy share your hot dogs?” I said that I did.…
Good eating
Yesterday my three year old daughter and I were sharing some leftovers for lunch. Jacqueline was enjoying some bites of the pasta and was cordial enough to say, “Thanks for sharing your food Dad.” This…
3 Days in Pittsburg
Recently, my wife, our three youngest kids, and I made a last-minute trip to Pittsburg, NH for a little getaway. We packed quickly, jumped in the van, and drove some 170 miles, or so, north…
Jacqueline: “I …
Jacqueline: “I want to go to the store and get some Mini Oreo’s.” Theodore: “Well, I want Mickey Oreo’s.” Jacqueline: “Once upon a time, I want to go to the store and get Mini Oreo’s,…
Twin quotes
After choosing the coolest day of the last five to actually venture in to the kiddie pool on our deck, the twins were soaked, and cold. Upon getting out of the pool after they were…
Twin Navigation
Yesterday my son had a doctor’s appointment before school and my wife drove him there before work. Shortly after they left I received a message that she had left her laptop and computer bag at…
Dirt Road, Dirt Dawg
After Theodore and I attended the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs’ home opener last week in Leominster, Mass. Theodore has some of his own memories. Β We went to see his big brother Ryan play and to take…
Playing like nobody is watching
I love when the twins just get caught up in the things that they are doing. Theodore grabbed the wizard hat for no reason other than to wear it while he played. Jacqueline donned her…
Little river trip
Yesterday the twins and I took a little ride to one of our neighboring towns, New Boston, NH. We enjoy the river and the kid-friendly trail which is partly made up of the original bed…
My very beautiful flashlight
I was sitting in the office when I heard Theodore running down the hall saying, βSister! Sister! Letβs go upstairs.β I looked over to see him race by me holding a small, toy cupcake. Jacqueline…
Jacqueline and her dress
Today Jacqueline wanted to wear her new dress. Not just any dress, but a dress made by her Grammy. So, here she is, in her birthday dress, and she is happy to show it off.
The Twins Turn 3 (take two)
Some folks had difficulty accessing the pictures onΒ the Sky Drive so I have re-posted in this format. Hopefully this works better. Thanks for your patience. We hadn’t really celebrated with birthday parties for the…
The Twins Turn 3
WeΒ hadn’tΒ really celebrated with birthday parties for the twins in either of their first two years so we decided (last-minute) to celebrate this year. It was a two-day celebration and the twins were quite excited to…
Made me smile
This morning, as I usually do, I sat at the computer for a few minutes to check email, the newspaper, weather, etc. My daughter, Jacqueline, who will be three years old on Saturday, walked in…
Jingle Bells
This morning, yes, April 11th, the twins were playing on the floor near me and they broke out in song. Today’s song was a lengthy, 3-year old inspired, rendition of the Spring Classic, Jingle Bells.…
