The ice rink out back, it takes an awful lot of work. Fixing bumps and cracks, clearing leaves and tree bark. The hours of work are nothing compared to the noise of skate. A space for the kids to laugh, learn, play, try, and create. Walking the ice after a long hard skate makes me smile. There is joy too, in late night repairs even if they take awhile. Now it’s March and the skating this season is all done. Memories and pictures will surface to highlight all the fun.
