Easter And What’s Next

Easter And What’s Next –

In a nutshell this is just a quick announcement following Easter and what’s next.

First, this is the prayer I shared before our family meal on Easter Sunday yesterday.

Family Easter Prayer – April 5, 2026

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude, gathered as family to celebrate the most significant day in human history—Easter Sunday.

Lord, we acknowledge the cradle that Christmas points to, and we humbly bow at the cross of Good Friday. We remember the journey from Palm Sunday’s celebration to the silence of the tomb. We confess our own hearts—how quickly we doubt, question, and condemn. Yet, even through our failures, Your plan prevailed.

But as the world looks on, we lift our eyes to the third day—the day of the empty tomb. We thank You that this day is the anchor that makes the others special.

On The Rock We Stand

Lord, we thank You that our faith is not built on philosophies that shift like the wind, nor is it just built on the life of a great teacher. Our faith is built on You, Jesus Christ—the One Singular Personality—whose victory is real.

We give You thanks for the unique power of the Resurrection. We thank You that Jesus did not just wake up, but that He conquered death. Thank You that He died in a temporary body so He could rise in an eternal body, offering us a hope that death cannot hold.

He Is The Way, The Truth, and The Life

We pray that as we look at the world today with its thousands of different paths, our family would be grounded in the truth. Help us understand that our faith stands alone because it is rooted in a specific moment in history—a singular event that conquered death and changed everything.

Lord, remind us that our Leader is not dead. He is not dead. He is alive and wants a relationship with us. May we draw ever nearer to You Lord.

Fill our lives, all of our moments, with Your peace. Let the reality of the empty tomb be the foundation of our legacy. As we go forward, may we live with the confidence that because He lives, we too can live eternally.

In the mighty and victorious name of Jesus, Amen.

On Easter Sunday some of our family gathered at the house I grew up in. I wrote a special Easter prayer and read/recited it with my family before we had a wonderful lunch together. Later in the afternoon, my youngest sister sent me a text (even though she was standing right next to me) with a link to a Playlist. Today, I listened to the songs on the list. Twice. While I drove my route (300 miles on average) for work. Old lyrics written from the heart redone in a way, well, in a way that I’ll let you decide… soon.

Either way, the songs, the lyrics, the message cut through everything, right to my soul. I had tears, and smiles, and experienced pure joy. I’ll be sharing some of these songs and experiences over the next week or two.
