Happy Anniversary Love!
The good Lord has granted us a gift, it’s another brand new day.
Where will we go, what will we do, the opportunity is ours alone.
Our calendar normally has restricted any chance of us getting away.
But it’s morning, I get to hold you and your arms always feel like home.
Distress arises somewhere in our lives, you smile and always agree.
We know we are better as one, than the two of us out on our own.
Even if it means helping others, sacrificing self, action, you or me.
When I look into your eyes I fear nothing, not even the unknown.
Amaris, I was told you were special, one in a million, a long time ago.
I wondered to myself just how different could this woman truly be.
Soon I found that today wasn’t enough so I asked for every tomorrow.
This question a minute woman with solutions aplenty yet quite carefree.
The only Amaris I have ever known, and I am the lucky one, you I hold.
You are generous beyond words, you are strong yet not afraid to lean.
Late night chats are my favorite, dreams we share in numbers untold.
I welcome each day with you, I can’t wait for adventure outside routine.
Sweetheart, how glad I am that I found you in that old New England town.
A long time ago in lives that seem so distant now, but one thing persists.
May your passion for life, the love for me, for us, never ever die down.
Only you smile at me with those loving eyes, I feel no other even exists.
The first time I saw your face, baby that smile, and I just had to know.
I wasn’t leaving town until we met, first impression, for better or otherwise.
Now each day at some hour or another I thank God for you, to me bestowed.
As I lay my head down to sleep I dream in smiles, to share with you every sunrise.
Happy Anniversary love. I love you.
