Finally, for the first time since October, yes October, the ground is white here. At least for the moment anyway. I know many people are hoping for a white Christmas around here. I am not sure this thin coating will make it to Sunday morning, but at least it’s white this morning. I think it’s interesting that during the winter, pictures of snow-covered trees look almost black and white, even when shot in color. The bright of white and the shadows of lower light and snow cover set their own tones for the photo. For now, I will enjoy the white we have.
