Simply: Bear Another’s Burden

In a day and age where the act of serving seems to be wound tightly around some agenda, hope of reward, or personal recognition, I share this morning’s devotional (from Dec. 15).

Beautiful morning along the Saco River, Conway, NH. 2020.

Sometimes when I read my devotional I look up words and search for a clearer meaning to how the words should be applied in today’s world, or at least my perception of the world. Then, these words below were delivered. Crystal clear. Simply. Humbly. With love and compassion. Powerfully understated as to foreshadow the very actions to be taken. Wow! Could this world ever use a serious dose of humility and a life sentence of selfless service!

I have added some landscape photos that I have taken in the last couple of weeks. To me, they are powerful images of God’s amazing handiwork. I am constantly in awe of His creation. At the same time, I often find myself both inspired and humbled, simply by His majesty.
