Walking the Uncanoonucs
Walking some local Goffstown trails were more than enough for a NH fall foliage fix.

Just a few photos from my phone. I took these while walking on the New Boston Rail Trail.
Oh, but the joy is all mine when I wander in from the edge just to listen and have a look around. …

Chances are, you have seen much better pictures and/or videos of the magnificent lunar eclipse from the other night. This is just a picture I took from my back yard with my unaccomplished skills and…
“…It’s not a movie where you have the, you know, the silver screen. It’s not a Broadway play where you have sets. The singers by the little nuances that they put in their voices, can take all those synapses and wind them up and put you some place else…”
Yesterday my Uncle Dean passed away. This world lost another good man. I know he suffers no more, and for that I am grateful. I look forward to seeing him again one day, Lord-side. When…
A tribute of sorts. Or, certainly my look into the chains that bind us. Those that don’t understand how one can be touched or moved by these actions, may well be the ones that need…
Lord, I pray we wait not, for those days to think on these things, but to actively pursue them with all that we are, and all we can be. We know not what the future holds for any of us. Let us not be caught up in that uncertainty, but have faith in You, and the tremendous power we possess to be present now. May we serve you Lord each day, knowing that the time we invest in one another is truly what makes the world go round.
Let the sparkle in your eyes be ours to share alone
Only in your gaze does the coming of time postpone
Well, after looking through the 100+ pictures I took last night, I confirmed that I am not very good at this stuff. I managed to get these shots which looked better in person, as lightning…
Looking west, past the Merrimack River, from our Manchester restaurant.
I thank my family, all around, for making this place come to life each summer; I am the beneficiary indeed.
Last Sunday morning I found peace in a place I’d never been before. Sitting on the top deck at the rental house in Waves, NC, I prayed, I wrote, I listened, I drifted, I sang,…
Many times I sit and think about things that have been. I listen to music the way that it was. Most times I find that so many things were done right the first time. I love to enjoy the creativity of lyrics, words written, and music compiled beautifully. Then sometimes I delve into these things a little bit deeper, maybe just to feel them, or maybe to record memories that I’ll hold close to me for always. Then in this moment I was captivated by the simple words “the dearest and best”.
dearest: most loved or cherished
best:Β that which is the most excellent, outstanding, or desirable

Lightning flashes, and the thunder rolls. But the fire’s warm, a hot bed of coals.
Happy Mother’s Day Mom! One night a couple of months ago, I was tired and my mind was overflowing. I needed at least a little downtime and some quiet. I sat alone at my keyboard,…
We all have our places we cherish, the ones where time comes as close to standing still as it ever will. Visit with those places often and soak up the aura you came to find.…
Well, it was Sunday, the final day of the NHL All-Star Weekend. All-Star weekend took place in Columbus, Ohio. Meanwhile back here in NH, the NH Avalanche team, or some form of the team, played…
My day started at midnight, kind of. All days start around then, but this morning was different. I had gone to bed, fallen asleep, left the TV on, only to wake up just after midnight.…
Sometimes I just want to sit and cry. Sometimes I do. Usually when the feeling strikes me like it has today, I sit and I write.Β
Thanks to a blog post I found online posted by Bryan Pfeiffer I was able to identify my bird more easily. Bryanβs blog gives a tremendous description to this little piece of paradise in the…
January, 2012 – We Were Friends. Recently a long time friend of mine passed away. I hesitate to say he lost a bought with cancer because he battled, he inspired, he laughed, he smiled,…
I know this is late according to the calendar. Is it ever late to be thankful? I guess there are times when it would be. Hopefully this isn’t one of them. Happy Thanksgiving in my…
I always pictured the hill far away, with the cross standing there for all to see. The cross there was never as finished as the ones seen in churches everywhere. The one I picture is crude, barely a cross, just enough to get the job done by those who put our Lord there to die. The picture in my mind is a sacred place where a stand was taken for all of us, past, present, and future. This space is near and dear to my heart, as without it we are all lost.
I think on the things we gather, the achievements we garner, the trophies we win, the awards bestowed upon us while we are here on earth. I can still hear my grandfather say “it’s all going to burn” as it relates to earthly possessions. Whether you believe or not, the possessions we have here on earth matter not once we are gone.
