The NH Avalanche 2000 team wrapped up their 2014-15 season by competing in the March Madness Tournament in Marlborough, Mass. at the New England Sports Center. After winning the Spring Classic #1 Tournament at Tri-Town Ice Arena last weekend, the Avs were confident entering play at NES. Game one of the tournament had the Avalanche playing the team from Gardiner, Maine. The Avs, who were missing Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche – Spring Classic #1 Tournament Champions
Ahhh yes it's spring! The signs of spring are everywhere. Well, at least there has been much chirping and plenty of chatter. It's spring, there is a renewed sense of the seasons, new growth, and maybe it's time for some head shots. I may stretch so far as to say there has been an ample sampling of class-less behavior, which could be misconstrued as a spring break of sorts. But this isn't about Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche 00 – Fear Factor
There's a saying that goes something like this: "There's nothing to see here". This may be one of those places, nothing to see here. I will let you decide though. The great thing about rumors is that anyone can start one. So, that's what I am doing, in good fun, I am starting a rumor. Rumor has it that opponents are fearful of coming to the Ice Den Arena to play this NH Avalanche 00 team. The Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche 2000 @ Assabet Valley Patriots – Valley Sports Arena
Last night the NH Avalanche 2000 team traveled to Concord, Mass. to play the Assabet Valley Patriots at the Valley Sports Arena. The was the first game the Avalanche had played since high school tryouts had been decided earlier in the week. The Avs had a few kids missing so they called up some players, three to be exact, from the Bantam Minor Elite team. The players called up for this game were, Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche 2000 @ East Coast Wizards – The EDGE Sports Center
I don't know if this is similar or not but I am going to make a small correlation between writing and youth hockey. When I sit down at my keyboard to write, I often times do not know exactly what is going to be written once I start typing. Similarly, in my mind, I, maybe we, do not know what I am going to see when our NH Avalanche 2000 team takes to the ice. Yesterday the Avs traveled to Bedford, Continue Reading...
NH Avalanche 2000 Weekend November 15-16
This weekend the NH Avalanche 2000 team had a pretty full weekend playing two games on Saturday and another game Sunday morning. All three games were played at The Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, NH. I am going to approach this recap a little bit differently I think. I am just going to list the results and then write about some points from the games and see how that goes. Continue Reading...

NH Avalanche 2000 @ Raynham
Coming in to the weekend the NH Avalanche 2000's had been playing pretty well and started to create more offense for themselves. Offensive zone puck possession, scoring chances, shots, and forced turnovers from the forecheck all looked to be getting better and resulted in more pucks finding the back of the opposing net. Then the Avs knew they'd be traveling to Raynham with only 8 skaters and a Continue Reading...
