Theodore was sick and he stayed home from school. By the time the afternoon bus was to arrive, he wanted to be there for his twin sister Jacqueline when she got home. It was 95°F and I was in the van with air conditioning running, but he wanted to be as close to the bus as I'd let him be. Continue Reading...

Surprise! More Snow!
It's not a big storm, but it's causing a mess on the roads this morning. We've got 4.5 additional inches of snow this morning. There's just no more room to put this snow anywhere. I'm without a vehicle this week, so the twins and I are home. I'm off to clear the 400' driveway so we can get oil delivered today. Meanwhile, the twins are snuggled in watching cartoons. The Twins Visit With Santa
Mixed comments
The twins are approaching 3 years old and the commentary is amusing, if not hilarious, on a daily basis. These are some interactions from the last few days. Jacqueline: (while sitting in her little fold up chair, reading from a book about dogs and cats) Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Me: Who is the fairest honey? Jacqueline: I don't know. I see a snake. Me: A snake? Continue Reading...
Deer Visit
A doe and a couple of youngsters stopped by the back edge of our yard just a few minutes ago. I snuck out the side door of the garage and was able to grab these two pictures before they loped into the woods only to be heard fleeing. Theodore and Jacqueline were able to see the deer, and both twins asked if they could hold the deer. Not today I guess. Continue Reading...

Followed by some random interactions this morning. Little town Quiet village Everyday The Continue Reading...

I want cheese
So the twins (almost 2 1/2 yrs old) wanted toast this morning. They each grabbed a piece of bread and brought it to me. In a moment they changed their request and asked for sandwiches instead. Me: do you want a sandwich? Jacqueline: I want cheese Me: honey, we have no cheese (while checking the fridge) Jacqueline: cheese in the other fridge? Me: honey we don't keep cheese out there Jacqueline: Continue Reading...
Zamboni Snow
Theodore really enjoyed his brother's hockey practice this evening. He spent a good part of the time playing in the pile of snow left by the rink Zamboni. He was very busy. He scurried about at a frantic pace, grabbing handfuls of snow and running around the pile to throw them into a puddle. I did ask him what he was doing at one point. He told me he was building a castle. Fair enough. I just let Continue Reading...
