From Thomas F. Sullivan Arena, St. Anselm College, Goffstown, NH - January 3, 2020 Friday night Goffstown returned to league action after the holidays and played host to a Division I team, Windham. Windham entered play with an 0-3 record in Division I so far. They seem to be getting better with every game though. Continue Reading...
Hockey: Goffstown 3 at Windham 6
From Icenter Salem in Salem, NH - February 2, 2019: The trouble with being so emotionally tied to this team is that we only expect perfection. Or at least a level very close to it. In Salem on Saturday evening, the Grizzlies lost a game that I can only really define as extremely frustrating, to a solid, quick Windham club, 6-3. Continue Reading...
Hockey: Goffstown 2 at Windham 5
Goffstown ended their spectacular regular season in Salem against a very strong Windham Jaguars team on Saturday night. Despite dropping their final two contests, the Grizzlies did win 14 games in the regular season for the first time in their program's history. Windham jumped out to a 4-0 lead and the hole was too deep for the Grizzlies to climb out of and overcome, but that's not the whole Continue Reading...
NHIAA Hockey: Windham 3 vs. St. Thomas 1
Check out @1inawesomewondr’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/1inawesomewondr/status/953825340014628864?s=09 I didn't have rosters for both teams, the goals announced didn't use player numbers, and I couldn't hear the PA anyways, but this was a good game. I wish I could give the players their due credit, but I just have all of the names to match the numbers. If you took out the physicality and Continue Reading...
NH Hockey Division II Power Rankings
Well, the power rankings for Division II are out from Hockey Night in Boston News. Since these rankings were posted: Keene won again (beat Alvirne 8-2). In a really good high school hockey game, Dover knocked off previously unbeaten (in league play) Windham earlier tonight, 2-1. Dover got a goal and an assist from Wyatt Allaire, while Trevor Gnall also scored for the Green Wave. Matthew Continue Reading...
Hockey: Lebanon-Stevens 4 at Goffstown 6
From Sullivan Arena on the campus of St. Anselm College - In recent years, it seems that whenever Goffstown is scheduled to play Lebanon-Stevens in hockey, either the game is snowed out, or the game is played closely contested, with a pinch of physicality. This afternoon when Lebanon-Stevens (0-1) came into the Grizzlies Den to play Goffstown (1-0), things played out like they usually do. At Continue Reading...
NHIAA Hockey: Div. II Semi-Finals, It'll Be 1 vs. 2
The Rinks at Exeter, Exeter, NH - 03/08/17 Mumbled and garbled audio aside, the atmosphere in Exeter was electric. The Bow student section was in place early. The Windham throngs seemed to show up at exactly the same time. Keene packed their side with orange and black. St. Thomas showed their various blues. Before long the seats were full. The areas all around the glass where people were allowed Continue Reading...

GHS Hockey: Goffstown 2 vs. Windham 1 (OT)
Wednesday, March 2, 2016. 730pm @ Sullivan Arena, St. Anselm College, Goffstown, NH - Goffstown vs. Windham. It's Thursday morning, March 3rd, 2016, and I am not certain that I have yet caught my breath from last night's spectacle that unfolded on a sheet of ice not too far from here. What a game! If I called it a wild affair it wouldn't begin to do it justice. You would have needed to have been Continue Reading...
