Flames 16U Take Bronze at Nationals
Recently the Manchester Flames sent a 16U Tier II hockey team to the 2016 Toyota-USA Hockey Youth Nationals in Wayne, NJ. The tournament ran from March 31 - April 4 in multiple arenas. The Flames went 4-0 in the Tier II State Playoffs back in November to earn their bid to Nationals. Sunday afternoon the Pee Wee Major Flames made their way across slick roads, around numerous spinouts, and through piles of wet, heavy snow to Skate 3 in Tyngsboro, MA for their final GSL regular season game. It was another GSL game, but on an odd day, Tuesday, at an odd time, 5:20pm, but against a familiar foe, the Northern Cyclones.
