On one of the sunny, dry days this week, between significant rain events, I was doing some work in the backyard. At one point with the sun getting lower in the afternoon sky, I took…
It was a late October day up in the northwest corner of New York. The temperature just barely climbed past 50F and the clouds were winning the battle for sky supremacy. As it turned out, it was a perfect backdrop for a day that I hope none of us soon forget.
Old farm land divided into commercial properties. But the pond, a few trees, and the green grass provide a glimpse of a long ago past.
The 2010 Manchester Flames entered the GSL State Tournament as the #5 seed in the six-team field. The Flames caravan of players, coaches, and families made their way through the falling snow up to North Conway for the tournament being held at Ham Arena. This morning I came outside to find this little treat. A canvas of sorts, so detailed, so neat.
Once in awhile I come upon a scene that tugs at me along the way. One I cannot pass without stopping long enough to hear what it has to say. Torn from where ever I…
The time passes easily like we are floating in the great big sky. Just the fresh air, our fire, the early evening colors, you and I.
The other day I was out in the yard working early in the morning. As the sun climbed to its’ noticeably different fall angles, the clouds broke apart. The sun started to reveal itself.
Today we went on a hike for some 3+ miles through the woods. The company was outstanding. The colors were awesome, and everywhere. There was peace and silence in the spaces we walked to and…
A month of skies from September.
Since we didn’t get a chance to get up to our favorite place in Maine this summer, we took full advantage of a weekend at Abrams Pond in September.
